The grand ceremony of the “Global Selecting Event for Jackie Chan’s Disciple” took place on 8:00pm, July 26, at Great Wall of Beijing. Many super stars attended the ceremony, among who were Jackie Chan, Sanping Han, Jonhn Woo, Hark Tsui, Jili Tang and Daoming Chen. Over two hundred thousands Kung Fu Players have participated the “Global Selecting Event for Jackie Chan’s Disciple”. After one year of strict competition and selection, the disciple of Jackie Chan is finally determined. Jackie Chan’s disciple has finally been chosen and the winner is Jack Tu. During the ceremony, Jackie Chan handed over a carefully-prepared present to his new student. In addition, it was announced that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the “Global Selecting Event for Jackie Chan’s Disciple” were Jack Tu, Zheng Yang and Yang Yi respectively.

As invited honored guests, internationally well-known film directors John Woo, Hark Tsui and Daoming Chen announced the top three winters of the event. At the end of the grand ceremony, Jackie Chan appointed Jack Tu as his disciple. Being a student of Jackie Chan, Jack will learn the whole process of filmmaking. Jackie Chan said he would not only teach Jack how to perform in a movie, but also teach him how to do post-production and film editing.

After the conclusion of “Global Selecting Event for Jackie Chan’s Disciple”, China Film Group Corporation, Jackie Chan Film Corporation, Beijing TV of China, Emperor Group and Beijing Forbidden City Film Corporation will jointly sponsor three modern action movies: action thriller《速递206》(“Express 206”), to be played by Jack Tu; action thriller《不告诉你》(“Won’t Tell You”), to be played by Tian Xie; and parkour《热带气旋》(“Tropical Cyclone”) , to be played by Zheng Yang. Jackie Chan will be the producer of all the three movies.

Jack Tu is a student of USA Wu Chi Kung Fu Academy and has been strictly trained in the school. He was born in a family of martial arts tradition. His father is a famous Qigong master. Under the supervision of their dad and granddad, Jack and his three siblings have practiced Kung Fu since their childhood. When Jack was 6 years old, he was once sent to a mountain for training. Jack has taken lessons from many well known Kung Fu masters. Kung Fu master Tao He, principle of Wu Chi Kung Fu Academy, is his Sifu in USA. Sifu HE is an outstanding world class Kung Fu master. His students have won over one hundred champions in various international martial arts championship competitions. Jack Tu is the student HE Tao is most proud of. To prepare Jack for the Jackie Chan’s Disciple selection, HE Tao has done tremendous work. We are most delighted to see Jack Tu, representing Wu Chi Kung Fu Academy, won the champion of the event and got appointed as Jack Chan’s disciple.
