HEAD MASTER TAO HE

Master Tao He was born in Yun Yang, Chong Qing, China.  He is currently Vice Chairman of International Wushu Sanshou Dao Association, Vice President of Sino-American Federation Of Artists, President of the USA Wu Chi Kung Fu Academy, 8th degree Black Belt Master level Coach, national level first degree wu shu coach and national level wu shu and dragon and lion show judge.  From 1990 to 2000, he was Head Coach in the Dongguan City Physical Education Department and wu shu visiting professor of Dongguan Tansportation Police Department in Guangdong Province.

Master Tao He loves Chinese martial arts since young age.  Since five years old, he started training under internationally renowned wu shu master Liang, Shou Yu and systematically studied Shu Shan O- Mei style Xiao Yao wu shu.  He has mastered both internal and external wu shu styles, both Southern and Northern styles traditional routines and modern wu shu competition routines.  He systematically learnt more than hundred of different wu shu style routines and fighting weapons.  He has in depth knowledge in the skills of attacking (San Da), quick wrestling (Kuai Shuai) and conquering (Qin Na) opponent.  In 1986, he was accepted to Chendu Physical Education Institute Wu Shu Department, studying further under the guidance of one of the top ten wu shu famous Professors Xi, Yun Tai and associate Professor Chen, Jian, insisting on focusing on both routines and techniques, systematically learning the essence of Chinese martial arts.  He was also fortunate to have been guided by Professor Wu Bing, the coach for internationally well known kung fu movie star Jet Li.  After four years of study in the wu shu college, he graduated with excellent achievements and earned a Bachelor's degree in Wu Shu Education.  In his wu shu career, he has been praised many times by the authorities due to his courageous  acts to help the weak and to deter the bullies when facing situations where help were needed. He participated in many national and international wu shu competitions and earned  championships, including 1985 Sichuan Province Wu Shu Champion, 1987 National Collegiate Wu Shu Spar Competition Champion and World Cup International Kungfu Competition Champion held in Los Angeles, U.S.A.  He has also played roles in movies such as “Scary Night”and “Drug Traffic Fighting Pioneer”and in TV series such as “Blue Mountain City Swordsmanship”and “Mythic Thief And Mythic Detective”, and was the wu shu director for “Mythic Thief And Mythic Detective”.  He has given lectures in many places around the world throughout the years, with students flourishing around the globe.  While he as the Head Coach for Dongguan Wu Shu Team, his students Xu, Dong and Gu, Yu won Long Fist, Sword and Staff Championships in 1996 National Youth Wu Shu Competition; four of his students were accepted to Gugnadong Province Wu Shu Team and Song, Xiaoming, one of those  four students, won 1998 Southern Fist Champion in National Wu Shu Championship Competition; Guo, Shao Heng, Gu, Lei and Lan, Xinhua, three of his students got accepted as kungfu actors in 1997 to Hong Kong TVB Station.  Guo, Shan Heng has since become a famous wu shu director and kungfu  substitute actor in recent years, being a kungfu director for Jacky Chan in “Shanghai Noon”, for Chow Yun-Fat in “Couching Tiger Hidden Dragon”, for Tak Wah Andy Lau in “A Fighter's Blue”, for Stephen Chow in“Kung Fu Hustle”, for Kaige Chen in “The Promise”, for Jet Li in “Fearless”, for Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse in“Dragon Tiger Gate”; and is very popular as one of the wu shu director for one of the most watched TV series “The Legend of Bruce Lee”.

In 2000, Master Tao He was invited to teach Chinese kungfu in the US.  As a martial artist who has comprehensive knowledge in a wide area of wu shu routines, techniques, Tai Chi push hands, Qin Na and Get Down techniques, he has changed the perception of the general Americans that Chinese wu shu is only a show that does not have solid foundation.  He made people realize that Chinese wu shu is the martial art in the world with the longest history, the most content and the best techniques, and made many Chinese and American people in the local communities appreciate and love wu shu.  To share with more people the opportunities to learn the deep knowledge of Chinese martial arts, Master Tao He founded U.S.A Wu Chi Kung Fu Academy in Fremont in 2001 and established another branch in Pleasanton in 2006.  He has taught several thousands students since then and has trained many wu shu talents with high level mastery of the art.  His students participated in many international wu shu competitions in the US, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and has won over 200 gold medals.

In 2007, the Academy was appointed to be the location for “Global Selecting Event for Jackie Chan's Disciple”in the US, to help selecting a disciple for internationally famous kungfu super star Jackie Chan.  Master Tao He's student Jack Tu represented Wu Chi Kung Fu Academy, participated in this competition and won the championship among more than 200 thousands competitors from around the world.  Jack Tu thus became the selected disciple of Jackie Chan and is promised to become a new generation action movie star, just like Jackie Chan.
On June 22, 2009, in the large charity show hosted in the Los Angeles Chinatown by Sino-American Federation Of Artists, internationally famous super star Jackie Chan participated in this show named “One Song for the Country, Same Blood of Excellent Kungfu Spirit”.  Master Tao He and his student Jack Tu joined Jacked Chan on the same show, were very welcomed by the audiences.  Master Tao He, as the Vice President of the Sino-American Federation Of Artists, with the cooperation of Jackie Chan's JC Group International LTD, contributed a lot to the success of this charity show in the area of show organization and arrangement and was appreciated by Jackie Chan very much.  To show the appreciation of USA Wu Chi Kung Fu, Big Brother Jackie Chan wrote to the students of the Academy “Self-Preservation through Perseverance”.

Master Tao’s achievements have been reported by many news media, such as CCTV, Beijing TV and many other TV stations, both domestically and internationally.  He is featured in "World Famous Wushu Experts Biography", "Modern Chinese Wushu Dictionary" and "Chinese Modern Wushu Celebrity Members", honors given only to those outstanding martial arts instructors by the People's Republic of China。
